Farewell to Jenn Truong

Jenn Truong

By: CLiGS

It’s with regret that we announce Jenn Truong, our Operations Manager, has decided to move on and her last day with us will be August 19. She originally joined our staff in Feburary 2014 as our Communications and Engagement Specialist. Over the years, her role within the CLiGS headquarters office was vast and varied – interacting with many of our staff, students, faculty, and partners along the way. In addition, Jenn is an alumna of the Executive Master of Natural Resources (XMNR) inaugural cohort, and her insight as an alum has helped further improve our programs.

Jenn leaves us to explore a new opportunity at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) headquarters working in their Restoration Center. In her new position, she will have a chance to use the skills and knowledge she gained in her time at CLiGS, both as student and staff, to assist the NOAA Restoration Center in their mission of “working with hundreds of partners and local citizens to collaboratively provide the science, communications, and policy expertise needed to restore our coastal and marine environment.”

We are saddened to see her leave, but we see a hopeful new future for her as a leader in the sustainability field. We wish her the best of luck and every success in her new endeavors.
