Cherie Nelson is the Program Coordinator for the Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability (CLiGS) and works at the Center's headquarters in Arlington, VA. She has a B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary and a M.A. in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University with a focus on international trade policy. She has spent three years working as a governmental relations assistant for a small aerospace research and development company working on congressional outreach. In addition, she spent one year as an AmeriCorps volunteer working on an environmental remediation project focused on invasive plant species control and local community engagement. Most recently, she worked at for the Arlington County Parks and Recreation Department in a programmatic and administrative support capacity.
