Jason Pearson

Jason Pearson is a nationally recognized strategist and social entrepreneur. Most recently, he led the creation and development of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC), whose mission is to support and recognize purchasing leadership that accelerates the transition to a prosperous and sustainable future. Since its establishment in 2013, the Council has rapidly grown to an international membership of over 200 leadership organizations, including national, state, and local governments, Fortune 500 companies, and leading civil society and academic institutions. Jason’s consultancy, TRUTHstudio (www.truthstudio.com), specializes in understanding, visualizing, and communicating complexity to support strategic decision-making in the public interest. His research project, Economy Map (www.economymap.org), visualizes how economic demand connects to environmental impacts across the entire US economy. Previously, as President & CEO and lead strategist of the sustainability institute GreenBlue (www.greenblue.org), Jason pioneered successful approaches for harnessing the innovation capacity of the private sector to achieve pre-competitive supply chain collaboration and accountability toward sustainable systems, including through the GreenBlue’s flagship project, the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (www.sustainablepackaging.org). Jason has also led strategic grantmaking initiatives for The Summit Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
