Kim Coleman is a Ph.D. Candidate in the department of Forestry Resources and Environmental Conservation at Virginia Tech. She will be defending her dissertation in January of 2016 and joining Vermont Higher Education Council to coordinate their civic engagement and sustainability programs. She holds a M.S. in natural resources and a B.S. in environmental studies, both from the University of Vermont. Her work focuses on the intersection of civic engagement and natural resources, ranging from collaborative land management to environmentally-focused service-learning.
