The Executive Master of Natural Resources (XMNR) program is part of the Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability (CLiGS) at Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources and Environment. Our purpose is to help students gain the credentials, competencies, confidence, and connections to achieve their career goals and have greater influence in the workplace and their communities, locally and globally.

Our people make us exceptional. XMNR students, faculty, staff, and alumni are accomplished and committed professionals working hard to make the world a better place.

Our students live and work in diverse communities throughout the United States and beyond. Our alumni are employed in a wide range of business, government, and civil society organizations around the world. Our faculty are seasoned sustainability leaders and experts in various fields. All are experienced educators skilled in designing and delivering courses tailored to the needs of professional graduate students.

It is an honor to work with this unique group of people who can’t wait to change the world.
